Emergency First Aid at Work – Appointed Person

Aims

Emergency First Aid at Work training courses are for Appointed Persons and are Health & Safety Executive recommended. This is the minimum level of First Aid training for the workplace, appropriate for low-risk environments or for those acting in the absence of a fully qualified First Aider.

Individuals wishing to become the appointed person for first aid at work.

Course Duration

1 day

Learning Aims and Objectives

To be able to provide basic life support delegates will receive training in a range of Appointed Person First Aid subjects, including:

Aims and Principles of First Aid
Action at an Emergency
Basic Life Support
Management of the Unconscious Casualty
Assessment and treatment of a casualty who is wounded, bleeding or shocked
Assessment and treatment of fractures, dislocations and soft tissue injuries
Assessment and treatment of burns

 

Accredited stamp
On completion of this basic life support course, delegates will receive a Qualsafe First Aid certificate of attendance to the standard of Emergency First Aid for Appointed Person.
