Emergency First Aid at Work

Even basic emergency first aid training can prove life saving in the workplace.

The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course offers one day of in-company training for employers looking to fulfil the minimum requirements of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations. The course is approved by the Qualifications Network, and upon completion of the assessment, you will receive an accredited First Aid certificate.

This training is ideal for an Appointed Person from a “low risk” work environment, usually an office. Many clients for this course come from the corporate, retail, education or low risk sports environment industries.

Training will cover:

  • Role of a First Aider
  • Priorities of First Aid
  • Managing an Incident
  • Causes and care of the unconscious casualty
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Bleeding and Shock
  • Choking
  • Burns and Scalds
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Manage the Transportation of a Casualty
  • Record Keeping & Accident Reporting
  • Practical demonstration and use of an AED

  • Receive necessary and important training in the convenience of your workplace.
  • Direct and personal training by an experienced teacher will ensure that you retain all the information.
  • The in-company format allows us to tailor some of the discussions and topics to your specific business, making it more relevant to you.
  • Companies will be compliant with Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981, by having the appropriate number of First Aiders in the workplace.
  • Appointed Persons who complete the training will add to the safety of their work environment with their ability to perform basic life support.
